Preorder terms

These terms apply to every Tusk insulin case reserved or preordered before the first run ships. They are offered by Tusk Shells LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("Tusk", "we", "us"), and sit alongside our Terms of service. Where the two differ on a reservation or preorder, these govern.

What you are buying

A place in the first production run of 100 Tusk insulin pen cases. The case is still in development: you are paying before it has been manufactured, which carries more risk than buying something in stock. The case ships with its cooling rail. Pens, insulin and medication are not included.

Two ways to order

• Reserve with a deposit. $20 today, fully refundable. The case price with a reservation is $89.99, so a $69.99 balance remains. Shipping ($8 Standard or $15 Express) and any sales tax are added to the balance.
• Preorder, paid in full. $79.99 today. Standard shipping is free; Express is $15, chosen at checkout. Any sales tax is shown at checkout. No product balance is due later.

The first run is split between the two options (60 deposit places and 40 paid-in-full places). Each option closes when its share is taken.

How the deposit balance works

1. When your case is ready to ship, we email you a secure Shopify invoice for the $69.99 balance, shipping and any tax. You choose Standard or Express on the invoice. We collect your shipping address there.
2. Nothing is charged automatically. You pay the invoice yourself.
3. The invoice is due within 14 days. We send a reminder before it is due.
4. If the invoice is not paid within 14 days, we cancel the reservation and refund your $20 deposit in full, and the place returns to the run.

Estimated shipping date

The first run is estimated to ship around January 1, 2027. We base this on our current production plan. It is an estimate, not a guarantee, and it is not the date your case arrives.

If the shipping date changes

If we learn we cannot ship by the estimated date, we email you before that date with:

• a revised estimated shipping date, or a plain statement that we cannot yet give one;
• the reason, in plain words; and
• a simple way to choose: keep your order, or cancel it for a full refund.

If the revised date is no more than 30 days after the original estimate and you do not reply, we treat that as agreement to wait. If the delay is longer than 30 days, or we cannot give a date, your order stays open only if you tell us you want to wait. If you do not reply by the original estimated date, we cancel your order and refund you in full.

If the date slips again, we email you again before the revised date with the same choice. A further delay always needs your express agreement; without it, we cancel and refund.

These steps follow the Federal Trade Commission's Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule. Where anything here falls short of that rule, the rule governs.

Cancelling

You can cancel a reservation or preorder at any time before it ships, for any reason. Email tuskshells@outlook.com with your order number. We start your refund within 2 business days. Card refunds usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. No fee, no deduction, no explanation required.

Once your case has shipped, our Refund policy applies.

Partial shipments

If you ordered more than one case and we can only ship part of your order by the estimated date, we tell you which cases are ready and give you the same choice for the rest: wait, or cancel them for a refund.

If the run does not happen

If the first run does not go ahead for any reason, we cancel every outstanding reservation and preorder and refund every payment in full. We will not hold your money against a later run you did not agree to wait for.

If the product changes

Small details such as colour, finish or cosmetic detail may differ from what you see now. If we make a change we consider material, to capacity, pen fit, materials, construction or external dimensions, we tell you before your case ships, and you may cancel for a full refund.

Cooling performance and pen fit

The case is designed to keep two pens cool for a target of 4+ hours. Hold time has not yet been measured on production units, and pen fit is still being verified model by model. We will publish the measured hold time and method, and the list of verified pens, before the first run ships. If the measured result falls materially short of what we describe, you may cancel for a full refund.

Before you dispute a charge

If something has gone wrong, email us first. It is faster for you than a card dispute, and we have no interest in keeping money for a case we did not deliver.
